The maps below illustrate the developmental plans which are proposed for the center of a small town called Islip.
To begin with, as per the given maps, the entire countryside will be removed from the North and the Islip center would get a more modern look. New housing is planned in addition to the existing ones which would be built on the western side of the park.
A number of significant changes have been proposed in the new plan. One of the most prominent features will be a dual carriageway which would encircle the entire city from all sides and would have one entry/exit point each on the eastern and western ends. The current main road will be restricted to a pedestrian-only street and the shops on its north will be completely replaced by a bus station, shopping center and a car park. Another housing is planned on the same lane. The series of shops on the southern side will remain unchanged.
Furthermore, the size of the park will be reduced in the future, but, the school size will be made bigger to accommodate more students.
