It is better for college students to live far away from home than live at home with their parents. Do you agree or disagree? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Nowadays, many college students struggle if they should reside far from where they lived, or stay with their parents. I agree that it is better for graduates to live far away from their dwellings and focus more on university work.
Firstly, homesickness can be fixed, but lost opportunity cannot come back.People attend school because they want to prepare themselves for future public life.Through better quality of learning, more pupils will learn effectively from lessons. Peers can easily have access to their parents even from far places through development of communication apps such as skype, whatsapp, snapchat, etc. Through having face-to-face calls and messages with one's relatives, sorrow can be treated. On the other hand, rejecting the rare chance of better conditions of studies can never be fixed. For instance, my cousin brother went to Yonsei university instead of Brown university because he feared that he might feel lonely staying in a different country. However, ever since he started to attend this institution, he regrets not going to Brown university. Missing households can be easily cured, but you might never get a second fortune which can even impact your whole life, leading to better income in the future.
Furthermore, you will have to learn to be fit to social life such as: being independent , choosing the order of priority. Through living 20 years with your family, you should now try to be self-reliant. Eventually, you will have to survive alone as time passes, and to prepare yourself, it's better to start training yourself. For instance, my father once told me that since he lived with his grandfather for 30 years, it was very hard to accept his emptiness when my granddad died. By living alone, one can easily learn how to become autonomous. Additionally, being a full-grown, people should be able to choose the order of priority in their lives. You can come back home once graduated halls of ivy, and serve your parents even better. Being a grown-up preparing for community life, freshman should be able to prioritize between their emotions and benefits.
To conclude, due to these two reasons of non-fixable option and preparedness, I agree that the benefits of existing far from residence overcome the benefits of living in groups.
