I am writing this letter to express my dissatisfaction with the system used for garbage collection in our local area that is causing inconvenience to us.

I am a resident of Kings Street London, where the garbage truck arrives late on a daily basis. As a result, the garbage is kept in the bins until the afternoon and causes a lot of stinks. This delayed pickup of the rubbish is not working towards the benefit of the locals since they have to wait for the second half for the trash cans to be emptied. Moreover, they have not arrived in the area for over two days and there was no prior notification by the authorities.

This is making the situation worse since the foul smell has started to reach inside the houses. Also, the stray animals make a mess by spilling the trash all over the street which not only causes trouble for the pedestrians, but also for the two-wheeler drivers. Furthermore, it is quite embarrassing for us if we have any relatives or friends visiting us. Most importantly, it has become a breeding ground for mosquitoes that can cause diseases like Malaria and Dengue which are hazardous for everyone.

On behalf of residents of the area, I urge you to take some serious steps towards correcting the situation by enforcing an early schedule for your garbage collection team so that it gets picked up during the morning hours. Additionally, the locals should be kept informed in advance about any delays or non-availability of the garbage pickup. Apart from this, please see if a backup team can be arranged during the events when the main teams are busy or are not available for the pick-up.
