Some people think it is more beneficial to take part in sports which are played in teams, like football, while other people think that taking part in individual sports is better like tennis and swimming. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.
Nowadays, a lot of people argue that the sports which are played in groups are better while the others speculate that the ones done individually are better for the development of a person. In my opinion, both kinds of sports activities are important and this essay will highlight them further.
On one hand, playing sports in groups is beneficial for an overall personality since it teaches people to be team players. They learn to work as a team and share their responsibilities and opportunities, while maintaining cooperation and collaboration amongst themselves. Furthermore, they also share their victory with everyone else in the team and this creates a sense of sharing in each individual player. For example, the footballer assists the other striker by passing the ball to him so that the goal can be scored, in such a case the celebration will be shared with the entire team and not with a single team member.
On the other hand, taking part in individual sports is also very important because it has couple of benefits. Firstly, it raises the stamina of a player as he is competing with the others on his own and will not have any kind of assistance from anyone else. Secondly, this pushes him to challenge himself further and become a better player by self-learning and constantly improving on the mistakes made in the last trial. Finally, the overall emergence of a great player is directly associated with the amount of motivation he carries. For instance, a person while practicing will need to record his own scores, review them to find mistakes, improvise and practice more.
In conclusion, it is not just one kind of sports activity that can make a good player, a good mix of both group and individual activities is the prime essence of the achievement.
